Finances and Gambling Problems (10 hours)

 

Participants will gain a better understanding of the financial issues of the pathological gambler and how to work with them in a therapeutic setting. Topics include:

  • Therapy with the pathological gambler, dealing with financial issues

Gambling Problems and Mental Health Comorbidity (6 hours)

Participants will learn the definition of co-occurring disorders, learn to assess for co-occurring mental health disorders, about screening tools for co-occurring mental health disorders and gain better understanding of mental health disorders and gambling. Overall, participants will evaluate their own ability and need to provide gambling treatment to those with co-occurring mental health disorders.
